Size Guide

Sizing is the single biggest reason clothes get sent back, so it is worth two minutes before you order.

Start with the product page

Every Ivy Quarter product page carries fit notes for that specific piece: whether it runs true to size, where it sits on the body, how the fabric behaves, and which way to go if you are between sizes. Those notes always take priority over a general chart, because a smocked bodice and a firm denim waistband do not behave the same way.

How to measure

Use a soft tape, measure over underwear rather than clothing, and keep the tape level.

Bust: around the fullest part of the chest, tape flat across the back.
Waist: the narrowest part of the torso, usually just above the navel.
Hip: around the fullest part, roughly 8 inches below the waist.
Length: from the shoulder seam straight down to where you want the hem to fall.

General guidance

Our range uses both numeric and letter sizing depending on the piece. As a broad guide, US 2 sits with XS, US 4 to 6 with S, US 8 to 10 with M, and US 12 to 14 with L. Treat this as a starting point only, and always check the fit notes on the piece you are buying.

Still unsure?

Send us your measurements through the contact page along with the piece you are looking at, and we will tell you honestly which size to take. We would rather answer a question than process a return.
